Nouvel évêque de Saint-Hyacinthe/New Bishop of St Hyacinthe Diocese

Sa Sainteté le pape François a aujourd'hui accepté la renonciation de Son Excellence Monseigneur François Lapierre, P.M.É., comme évêque de Saint-Hyacinthe, conformément au canon 401 §1; et a nommé le Père Christian Rodembourg, M.S.A., présentement curé à la Co-Cathédrale Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue de Longueuil (Québec), comme évêque de Saint-Hyacinthe.

It was announced today in Rome that His Holiness Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of the His Excellency François Lapierre, P.M.É., as Bishop of Saint-Hyacinthe, according to canon 401 §1; and has appointed Rev. Father Christian Rodembourg, M.S.A., currently Pastor of the Co-Cathedral Saint-Anthony-of-Padua of Longueuil (Quebec), as Bishop of Saint-Hyacinthe.
